Sensei Robbert Intveld competed regionally, nationally, and internationally and was acclaimed for standing proudly on the podium at all events. Sensei Intveld has also supported local events in North Delta such as sitting on the board of directors at the Kennedy Senior Recreation Centre, teaching karate programs at Sungod and the North Delta Recreation Centres. He was also involved at the Delta Police Days, and supported the North Delta Lions by having his school participate in the North Delta Family Days Parade. The Academy of Martial Arts is community based and will continue to be so for years to come.
Our school focuses on fitness, traditional karate, but most important, developing confidence and life skills in its students. Countless students that started as young as four, five, or six, have become great successes such as working in law enforcement, healthcare, educators, achieving their degrees as Physicians, Law, Dentistry, PhD in Sciences, Chiropractic care, the list goes on. All are healthy contributors to our society, to their families, and continue to support our school. Discipline goes a long way, and all these students are champions. We are proud of all they achieve, and we recognize them all, both past and present. We invite you to be a part of our future and try one of our trial classes. (Photo 1987 North Delta Dojo)
